asymm is an intimate, autobiographical, dance theater performance rooted in the butoh dance, electronic music and multimedia essence of time/life/beauty, Michael’s collaboration with composer-musician Paul D. Miller aka DJ Spooky and dance artist Mohammed Smahneh aka Barges, inspired by famed composer-musician and activist Ryuichi Sakamoto (1952-2023).
asymm tours as an evening-length solo program, with optional inclusion of local performers, or in abridged medium-length (30-40 minute) or lecture-demonstration formats for a variety of venues and budgets.
